Keith Lowry to Present Conflict Resolution and Confrontation Skills at Conference
     Keith Lowry,
President and CEO of Keith Lowry Seminars, has been teaching and training in a variety of settings for over 25 years to great reviews. He has delivered over 2000 seminars and conferences in every U.S. state, Mexico, England, Scotland and Ireland. Mr. Lowry’s unique style of “edutainment” keeps audiences laughing and learning.
     Mr. Lowry will present Conflict Resolution and Confrontation Skills on Friday, June 25, at the WYTRANS Conference. Workshop participants will learn how to improve their communication skills for dealing with conflict and confrontation by looking at advanced communication techniques and improving word choices. Mr. Lowry will cover 15 keys for dealing with angry clients and teach how to improve awareness of potential conflicts. He will also cover some conflict prevention measures.
     Mr. Lowry earned an undergraduate degree in communications and a graduate degree in education. His training and experiences, shared so deftly in his engaging stories and anecdotes, keep audiences spellbound and learning throughout every session. Keith Lowry Seminars, Inc., founded in 1996, has grown to include over 15 speakers and a broad variety of topics to address the educational needs of a diverse client base.
     Keith Lowry is listed in the 2003 International Who’s Who of Business Professionals. He has taught seminars for companies such as Wal-Mart, the New York Times, JC Penney, and the U.S. Department of Energy.

WYTRANS Conference Training Schedule
    
WYTRANS Conference participants can benefit from three days of training workshops and enjoy Western Hospitality at the 16th Annual WYTRANS Conference and Bus Roadeo, June 23-26, in Riverton, Wyoming.
     Pre-conference training will begin on Wednesday, June 23, with CTAA’s PASS (Passenger Service and Safety Certification) for new drivers and escorts. The two-day PASS course covers driver sensitivity and teaches drivers to be more in tune with passenger needs. ADA requirements, emergency evacuation procedures, and much more is taught in this hands-on class. WYTRANS Trainers Sandy Wirtz and Bob Buckardt from Laramie, Wyoming, will be the instructors.
     Full conference activities begin Thursday morning with a welcome from Riverton Mayor John Vincent. Thursday classes include the continuation of the beginning PASS class, a PASS recertification class, a PASS Training for Managers, and a six-hour Safe Driver course.
     The PASS recertification course is a half-day refresher for drivers who took the two-day class three years ago and now must recertify. Kathy Callaway, from the Riverton Senior Center, will be the instructor. PASS Training for Managers, an abbreviated Passenger Service and Certification course for those in supervisory positions, will be offered on Thursday morning. The goal of this class is to educate directors and managers about what transit drivers face on a daily basis and what equipment they need to do their job correctly.
