Meeteetse Recreation District was founded in 1977. We provide recreational opportunities for all ages, and we are the only public transit service in Meeteetse.

To provide the most positive recreational activities that we can and to satisfy the needs of those who rely heavily on our transit program.

SchoolThe Meeteetse School District works with us, letting us use their facilities. Since Meeteetse is so small it does take a community to raise a child and we are a good example of that theory.

 The Meeteetse Recreation District offers many activities such as once a week golf outings, hiking trips, a day in Cody for our senior citizens, and all kinds of field trips. These are just a few activities that are incorporated with our transit program. In the winter, we caretake a cross country ski park, swimming pool activities, and an open gym, to name just a few.
